'Meerut Military Cemetery, France- What a pity my French friends- Quelle dommage mes amis Francais' by K.J.S.Chatrath

 
 

Remarks recorded by me in the Visitors Book of the Meerut Military Cemetery at Boulognes St. Jacques in France. I was dismayed to find that no one in this town remembers the sacrifice made by the 318 Indian and Nepalese soldiers and non-combatants who died saving France and who lie commemorated but forgotten here.
