'French Naturist Village & Covid 19' - K J S Chatrath

I am a great admirer of the French and their culture. Hence I have been running this blog through which I try to share news about France, its culture, gastronomy, beauty, language, literature, etc.

The present post would perhaps come under the category of 'etc.' The world over, scourge of Covid is the news, and France is no exception. Just when it seems that in France the worst is over, one gets the news of some new cases cropping up.

The latest is the news about spread of Covid in a French Nudist Camp. Everyone knows that in Nudist Colonies one is not permitted to wear any piece of clothing. It seems that one is not allowed to wear even a mask in a nudist village, but I can not personally vouchsafe for it. It would need confirmationfrom someone who has been to one of the nudist camps post arrival of Covid.

'Respectful salute to Sowar Kesar Singh who sacrificed his life 103 years back defending France during WW-I' - by K J S Chatrath

I had the privilege to visit La Chaplette Peron British and Indian cemetery in France in 1917. Here  315 Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War I in defending France, lie buried/commemorated.

Respectful salute to Sowar (Horse Rider) Kesar Singh, of 19th Lancers (Fane's Horse), Service Number 3923 who sacrificed his life 103 years back on 28th July 1917. He lies remembered in plot number II.A.10 of the cemetery.

Paper flowers that I had carried with me from India and had placed one at the memorial stone of each
martyr.
