Let me start with a confession.  I started learning French at the age of 17. Now at 77 my knowledge of French continues to be 'faible'. One reason, though not a fool proof justification for this poor performance, is lack of constant practise. Which again is a lame excuse because now there are any number of ways by which one can learn and practise French with the help of internet.

Yesterday while watching the trailer of a 50 year old French film 'Mepris' starring Brigitte Bardot, I found my French coming back at a very rapid pace.
